Plant care

Our plants are low-maintenance and specially picked to thrive in your home for years to come. Here’s some tips on how to keep them growing and happy.

Lighting and placement

Most of the plants we sell are tropicals, so indirect bright light works best. Place the plants next to a window and they’ll be very happy. Avoid direct, full sunlight, which can burn the plants. Most office and interior lighting is sufficient for our plants to grow.

When to water

All of our plants come with a soil stick in the shape of our cute kei truck. Remove the stick and take a look at the base. If it’s dry, it’s time to water. If there’s still moisture on the stick, look again in a few days. In warmer months, check more frequently.

How much to water

• 4” container: 30mL, 1oz, or 2 tbsp.
• 6” container: 60mL, 2oz, or 4 tbsp.
• 8” or larger: See the instructions provided with the plant.

Soil

Our nutrient-rich soils are already fertilized to maintain moisture and nurture root growth. With proper care, most plants won’t require a soil change for a year. Contact us when it’s time for a refresh and we’ll be happy to help.
